Recycling Graphics

In terms of speed, the next best thing to using no images is to use images that are cached. Cached images are the ones that have already been downloaded (for example, the images from the screen you just left). The web browser stores these images in its cache for short-term use. Reusing certain images across your site will make pages seem to load faster, since the browser will pull them from the cache instead of from the 'Net.

These are just a few of the things you can do to help speed up your graphics. If you have other ideas, secret recipes, or clever tricks, spill the beans in the discussion forum.
