HomeSite
In the world of Web development, not all tools are created equal. Allaire's HomeSite is among the very best Web tools available to the professional developer. Some of its best features are the little things: a wide range of syntax coloring and a document weight button that estimates page size for download. New in the 4.0 version released this fall are several important features, including support for version control with applications like SourceSafe, and a CodeSweeper to tidy up the clutter in the code that WYSIWYG editors produce.
Unfortunately for Mac users (who luckily have BBEdit as a first choice), HomeSite is available only for the PC.
